From September 15 to 21, 2025, Kisina Déco had the immense honor of representing Canada at the G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance (G20 YEA) Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa. This landmark event brings together hundreds of young entrepreneurs from G20 countries each year to exchange ideas on current and future issues shaping global entrepreneurship.
For Prima Mabonzo, founder of Kisina Déco, the trip was more than just a mission: it was a rejuvenating return to the motherland, a unique opportunity for learning and collaboration, and a pivotal moment for the future of her company.
An International Summit Celebrating Entrepreneurship

The G20 YEA Summit is an essential platform for young entrepreneurs worldwide. Each year it gathers leaders to present recommendations to governments, foster innovation, and create international partnerships.
As a delegate, Prima Mabonzo took part in conferences and roundtables on key topics such as:
South African regulations and the business environment;
Investment opportunities across the African continent;
Technology and artificial intelligence: how to use AI ethically and select the right tools for each organization’s reality;
Socio-economic statistics on South Africa and its populations.
These discussions gave Kisina Déco a deeper understanding of the global issues influencing entrepreneurship—especially for businesses with a social and cultural impact.
Canada in the Spotlight: An Exemplary Delegation
Canada was the largest delegation present in Johannesburg and even received a recognition award for its participation. It was a proud moment for all Canadian entrepreneurs who carried their country’s flag with honor.

Prima Mabonzo highlights the importance of meeting and exchanging with local dignitaries, Canadian representatives in South Africa, and other international delegates:
“Knowledge sharing, collaboration, learning, and camaraderie were everywhere. The interactions with other Canadian delegates and participants from other countries were incredibly enriching.”
Looking Ahead
Kisina Déco would like to thank the G20 YEA 2025 Summit team for the exceptional organization of this event. Every detail was carefully planned to offer a memorable experience to all delegates.
Now back in Canada, Kisina Déco is more determined than ever to expand its impact, build strategic partnerships, and continue showcasing the richness of African-inspired home decor to the world.
